My Brother being in a bad state of health obliges
me to write You - about a fortnight ago he fell ill owing
to a Violent Cold & has been confind to his Bed for some
time and the Nature of his Disorder has taken a turn
which alarms us very Much and in order that You
might take the Trouble to Consult any Skilfull Phy¬
sician I shall describe it to You -- It begun with a
Swelling in his Legs & an Extraordinary Cough & astmah
but for these ten days past he has been afflicted with
an intollerable Hiccough attended with an inclination to
Vomitt
but emitts nothing but a very little Phlegm
at same time is Costive in his Body , If You cou'd learn
what cou'd be servicable to one in this Case I beg You'll
let me know by return of Post.

Inclosed are some Papers he desired me to send
You which You'll understand without my Explaination
as he is too weak & low to be troubled with the concern
of business.

I wrote You lately concerning Your [Newes?] to
which I refer You when You have received it which I expect
