DearDoctor

I find very little to alter in the inclosed,
a few corrections I have ventured to make & some others
I here submit to you.

At first x the word rest might be explained & the sentence fol¬
lowing expressed in this manner. Rest by preventing the
parts from being exposed soon again to the same strain.
If therefore Mrs Campbell can continue to avoid falling
with Child for a year or two a very perfect recovery
might may be hoped for & in the mean time an obser¬
vance of ↑the↑ following prescriptions will greatly contri¬
bute to the Same purpose.

At x 2 I have to observe that I think bitters & even bark
long continued do much mischief & that therefore a month
of the Electuary might be enough but the water may be
continued for two.

At ^ It would be proper to insert what is in page 3d.. For
"several weeks, &c" & I think it will be proper to say what
is to be done when she cannot in bad weather go to the Sea.

[Page 3]

& that is to bath at home either in a tub or with the
Machine ----

At x3 I think you might repeat by saying the
same light & cool diet ↑formerly recommended is still the most proper↑ & at the End add, for what
ever of meat or drink in any measure heats her
must do harm.

At x4 I mean to observe that Powder & Syrup do
not make a good Electuary & the addition of a little
conserve has a good effect.

Admit or reject these hints as you see proper
I would have sent them sooner but have been out
of town this forenoon.-

Yours
W.C.
