[Page 1]

Miss Semple has taken [??] Drr. James's
powder
as Dr. Cullen directed. In general
it procured a Stool in the morning &
she slept better than before she took it
she was a little squeamish in the mor:
ning but never the length of vomiting.
She has had remarkable intermissions
of the Fever altho no way regular
her pulse will be slower, & quicker, many
times in a day - I thought the intermissions
so [few?] two days ago as encouraged
me to try the bark again it has not
dissagreed with her - There has been
little or no change in her urine, it still
continues colorless - she has frequently
little nervous twitchings, and is still
unable to sit any time out of bed, she
sits up a good deal in it without
uneasiness ---
