Reply to Dr Scott concerning the case of Mr [Richard] Betham. Cullen writes that 'Your letter concerning Mr. Betham, my old and very particular friend gives me the utmost concern'. He believes the case to be desperate, and gives (in English, in the body of the text) directions for preparing digitalis. On the first page, Cullen has corrected the handwriting of his scribe, who (as on the third page) has written the name as 'Bethune'. He sends his compliments to Mr Betham's daughter.
