[ID:5431] From: Dr William Cullen (Professor Cullen) / To: Dr John Mudie (Moodie) / Regarding: Mr William? Christie? (Patient) / 2 April 1787 / (Outgoing)
Reply to Dr Mudie concerning the case of his unnamed patient in Montrose, pp.91-2. Cullen apologises for his delay in replying, as he has been in the country. He believes 'the disorder has arisen from the Suppression or if you will the ceasing of the Hæmorrhoidal discharge'. He approves Mudie's treatment of him, and says that 'it will be necessary for us to take some pains to obviate the obstruction that may be forming in the Viscera'. Prescriptions are included.
