Mr Coupland Query Miss Marshall.
Dear Sir

I have yours of the 5th Current with Regard to M. Marshall.
I find no Reason to changing part of the plan formerly
laid down, but I am willing she should try the Chaly¬
beate water
you speak of. With Respect to Diet I would
Refuse her nothing that she has a strong desire for
but particularly indulge her in garden things,
& she will of her self Refuse them when she finds
She does not digest them. The Bread & {illeg} and
wine, She bore so well was certainly owing to
her liking them. As her belly is now easily
managed I think you may use freedom with
the opiates. You say she has taken Sixty drops
of the mixture & that amounts only to twenty drops
of the Tincture Thebaic, which I think a small dose
& you may surely go a great deal farther. If the doses
you have employed, [peolpenced?] the vomiting it is
possible, that larger doses may stop it altogether.
I have no more to say of M. Mas-l.

I am Dear Sir. Your Most Obedient Servant
Willm. Cullen.
