Normalized Text

For Mr Tait Surgeon at Ely.

Not easy to keep the old man alive. A stone in his
bladder
giving incontinence of urine; nothing for this
but Uva ursi. Keep his belly regular by the
Laxative Electuary when you may give him for his want
& sleep
& pain. An Anodyne at bedtime. His breast
not right but we cannot help it. In case of continuing
to spit
& especially of cough give a Mucilaginous Mixture to
be taken at pleasure.
