Mrs Glassell takes the liberty of troubling Doctor
Cullen with a few lines to Inform that Mr Glassells has
gott free of the Swelling & Pain in his ancles, which
Mr Copland informed of, it did not continue above
5 or 6 days - he frequently feeles a stiffness & weight
in his feet - with little or almost no Pain - he has for
3 Weekes Past had less or more of an eking Pain in
his head every day, which he thinkes Rheumatick -
he has also been much distrest with his Stomach - a weight
& fullness immediately after eating - which continues till
he throwes all up - he has been jaunting every
day about 20 or 30 miles - he now thinkes of going to
Ingland - & Mr. Copland who Mr. Glassell saw yesterday
said he though Mr. G. might be the better of
Drinking the Gilesland Water. - it is light & often
does much good in Stomach Complaints - but said he
did not wish it to be tryed till Doctor Cullen advised
whether or not it was Proper - nor would Mr. Glassell
trye any Water without Doctor Cullens Permission
Mr. G was also advised by some People to Drink Trefoil
neither of the above he will venture to take till
he has Doctor Cullens oppinion of {illeg} --- & which
Mrs G must solicit Doctor Cullen will be so kind as
forward as soon as Posseble to Mrs Glassell to the

of Mr Mc Millan Dumfries ----- Mr. Mr. Glassell
joins in Compliments & best wishes to Doctor Cullen I
