When I last consulted you respecting a complain[t]
of Mrs. McKies I flattered myself from the benifit she
received from your advice & the tolerable state of
health she has since enjoyed, that I should not
have occasion for your advice on her account, in
any short time. I am to inform you that she was
about Six or eight weeks ago seized with what I thought
a common cold, but as the Cough has continued ever
since without any abatement I begin to be alarmed
for the consequences, her cough is hard & rather dry
than otherwise does not Spit a great deal often
throws up during the fits of coughing a white
frothy matter, complains much of pains in her
head Small of the back & thighs & Legs & some¬
times in the lower part of her left side, has
no apitite, she does not cough much when in bed
& generally sleeps tolerably well, used to sweat
much about her breast & uper parts of the body but
it has not appear for some nights by past

Her Menses made their appearance at the usual time
but in place of continuing from to or three days as
usual they did not continue above one hour & in
quantity very little, this made me conjecture that
perhaps she might be pregnant, but for this
I had no other grounds than the circumstance
last mentioned, her former complaint (the Whites)
has returned fo more violent than ever, I beg my
Dear Sir if you can find out her complaint from
my imperfect description, you will give me your
opinion freely & your best advice how to treat
her Complaint for which shall be your debter
a fee which shall remit you first safe conveyance
with respect to my self I have enjoyed a tolerable
state of health these two years past, I still
regualte myself by your directions I still keep
by the former regimen, expecting your answer
as soon as convenient
