Sunday 14th. November
1784 -
Scince I wrote you-
your Patient Mrs. Younghusband
Imprudently riding out last
Tuesday, being rain, on her
return was seized with a voilent
Convulsive fit. I was sent for
& at five in the Afternoon, another
With voilent reachings I order'd
the Anodyne injection & repeated
it, occasionly, and had the desired
Effect. Complained of a Head Ach
that night I layed Sinapisms to
her feet & next day two blisters
to her Ankles. Her Head & Stomach
was releived & no Vomiting Scince
She was cold for some time but

these Applications broke out into a copious
Sweat & slight Delirium. Has been tolera↑ble↑
these two days past. being costive. gave a
Laxative Glyster yesterday, & had two Stools
from it. Still black. Mr Y..d desired me to
write you. Have stopt all medicined for the
Present. She has a craving for food which
Stays on her Stomach. but confined to bed
ever scince Tuesday last. Your further directions
are desired as soon as may be.
