I am favourd with yours of yesterday
inclusing Dr Cullens and your opinion of my Brothers Case,
and a Receipt for Mr Whyte. Which I hope will be of use
to my Brother.
Inclosed I send you a state of Mrs Reddies Case
which I beg you will Consult with Dr. Cullen, and
let me have your opinions thereanent soon, as she
has been worse since you was here.

State of M[rs Reddie's Case] -----
About four years ago Mrs Reddie had a severe Weed the 9th day
after her delivery, which obstructed every thing, and some
days there after had a looseness which lasted a Week, It was
followed by a pain in her side for two or three months, which
was removed by Exercise, but returnd several times for
twelve months.
In March 1773 Dr. Cullen
was Consulted, and ordered some Medicine to remove
obstructions /which was thought to be part of the Disease/
of which she was a good deal better. – But for these
four years past Mrs Reddie has not had her usual health
Sometime Costive for a week which was followed by a
looseness of near the same duration. ----
Mrs. Reddie was deliverd of ↑a↑ Boy about six weeks ago, and has
recoverd very slowly. –– In the first of her Pregnancy, she was
seized with a tremor and shaking attended with the Cramp
in her stomach, and ever since she has had returns of it, but
more frequently of the tremor than the Cramp. ----
Sometime before Delivery, and for the most part since, she has
also complained much of a [Breathlessness?], and could not sit with it
But was obliged to Walk thro the Room.
