DOC IDSummaryDate
[DOC ID:1155]
Letter of referral from Andrew Liddell at Thurso concerning Alexander Bremner, a farmer with complications after the surgical removal of a tumour on his lip and who 'is going to Edinburgh on account of his health' and so will deliver the letter in person. It is unclear what the marks by the address indicate but they are presumably not directly associated with commercial posting as the letter was hand-delivered. Cullen's office annotation 'John Bremner Weaver in the Shoemarkers Close' presumably refers to a kinsman of the patient (with whom Alexander is lodging while in Edinburgh?).12 July 1775
