The patients' symptoms include: leucorrhoea, weakness and uneasiness across the loins, and very considerable debility. Her leucorrhoea had abated, but a disagreeable family circumstance appeared to cause a relapse.	1 December 1783

Cullen regrets the patient has rejected the use of the limatura martis and suspects the patient is not one to continue a course of medicine for any length of time. Cullen advises on diet and exercise. He also includes a recipe for a strengthening mixture.	5 December 1783

Despite Cullen's advice, the patient's leucorrhoea continues and is now accompanied by flushes of heat over her body. Home wishes to know whether Cullen's former advice should be persisted in, or whether he would make any alterations.	17 August 1784

[DOC ID:4899]	Reply, for 'Mr. Wm. Home C[oncerning] a Lady'. Cullen is disappointed his prescriptions have not yielded the desired effect, though acknowledges such cases often prove obstinate. He includes recipes for a strengthening electuary and strengthening drops.	21 August 1784
