| Only child of Henry Lindsay Bethune by his first wife Elizabeth Kyd, who seems to have died in childbirth. In 1787, she married Lieut-Gen. James Dickson of the HEICS. She died at Bath on 1 January 1829, and her death notice can be found in Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine, May 1829, p. 682. |
