The most frequent and Ordinary
Symptoms, wherewith I am afflicted are
as follow viz. Wind in my Stomach and
bowels; and such a Giddiness sometimes; as
that I know not where I am; Or what I am
doing; Flying pains in my head, especially
about the Temples; a Sense of Cold in the back
part of the Head, with a Straitness there; So
that I cannot without difficulty, look either
to the Right, or left hand. The least noise
as the opening or shutting a Room-door
startles me so much, that my heart will
beat for sometime; A Continual heaviness
in the back part of the head, attended
with a dull pain; Wandring thoughts
and Wild Imaginations. My memory is
greatly impaired, and my Ideas are oft
crouded and unconnected; Things around
me in the Evening, when the Sun shines
appear to me, as it were tinctured with
a deep yellow Colour. I am often plunged
in deep melancholy thoughts, which
makes me have an aversion to Company
and love Solitude. I have likeways frequent
Startings in my legs, arms and thighes;
together with tremors on fear, surprize &c
The above Symptoms vary as to degree
According as the weather changes. I am
about 50 years of age, and have been
in this Melancholy Situation for betwixt
these twenty, or thirty years by past-
