Take one ounce of Crystal tartar one drachm of Pulvis jalapi compositus half a drachm of powdered Russian Castor half an ounce of an Electuary laxative and two drachms of Syrup of ginger with enough to simple Syrup to make a soft Electuary Label: Aperient Electuary half a tea spoonful to be taken at bed time.
