Advice uncertain from the slight account given
The prescription below often of use in such cases.
To be made into small pills, - one to be taken the 1st day
twice, 2d day 1. three times, & the 4th 4 times, & to be
continued in this way, till he finds you (↑the↑) give the ease.
They should relieve pain & stop the frequent desire to make
water. / They sometimes dispose to sleep & if they do so
the doses must be increased slower, --- but if not nor
relieve your symptoms. The dose to be increased to 6. 8. or even
10. per diem.
If they should not prevent costiveness, they (↑it↑) must be done
by some other medicine.
G. Arab. to be continued & plenty of watery drink
abstaining from beer wine spiritous liquor.
A cool & light diet - & avoid all exercise but a
little in an easy carriage

What are the symptoms more particularly that make you
conclude it is an excoriation or exulceration in the Neck of the Bladder
Has there been or is there now any suspicion of Stone
or Gravel.
What is his ordinary way of living with respect
to meat drink & exercise & what are the effects you
have observed from different circumstances in your manner of life or
from the use of the d--- &c
Take two drachms of Henbane and divide into pills of two grains each
