1. I have sent you a Phial of solution which
is to supply the Diuretic Mixture. You are
to take two tea spoonfulls of it in a small cup
full of water two or three times a day adding
to the cupfull of water half a table spoon full
of brandy and a bit of sugar. This you are
to continue to take till your strangury is very
much relieved, but when that is the case you
should lay aside the Medicine till the strangu¬
ry returns

2. To supply the place of the pectoral draughts
I have sent you a phial of Drops of which
you are to take thirty five drops for a dose
at bedtime every second or third night when
the cough is troublesome but when the cough
is gone you need ↑not↑ take this medicine. ––
It is to be taken in a little water with a bit of sugar.

3. I have sent you a phial of stomachic Tincture
both for your stomach and blood. It is the same
as before only in larger quantity and you are
to employ it as before by taking a tea spoonfull
in a little water several times a day.

4. I have sent you an anodyne oil for anointing
your back every night at bedtime keeping it
always covered with a piece of flannel.

With the same oil you may anoint your
knee or any other part that happens to be
pained. ––––

5. I have sent materials for a Gargle partly
in papers, partly in a Phial. A paper
of the materials is to be put into a Tea pot
and a mutckin of boiling water poured upon
it. Let it stand near the fire for ten or
twelve hours, then strain off the liquor
and put to it a table spoonful of what
