[Page 1]
For Mrs Campbell

Her ailments arise from a delicacy of constitution
rendering her easily affected by cold & this is only to be
mended by Strengthening her constitution & by habit
rendering her cold air more familiar.

Cold bathing must be delayed till Summer when it
will be very proper. In the mean time it must be sup¬
plied by being as much as possible in the fresh air.
Her journey may be of service & after it I advise exercise
in the same manner as advised for her husband only
that she keep to the Carriage. In the same manner
as for him I advise her to avoid cold. She should
not be prevented in the above by slight symptoms of
cold.

Moderate in animal food & never any at night
She should take milk in the following manner. Diluted
with equal part of thin gruel or barley water & very well
sweetened with brown sugar, & this may be used as plain
milk, with bread, rice &c; Sparing of tea or Coffee.
Cocoa is fitter. At meals her drink should be good
Porter with 2 or 3 parts water.

I have prescibed below a pill for her Costiveness,
which will answer better than her Anderson's pill.

I have prescribed another medicine; to be taken for
a fortnight only at a time & after a fortnights inter¬
mission she may take a second course of it & then
a third
