For Mr Bruce
1. Half an hour after making Water, let him inject twice a day
or if it does not smart him thrice a day, a table Spoonfull of the
Injection below - taking the cold of it by putting it for a the Phial
for a little in a cup of warm water.
2. Every morning let him bathe the bottom of his belly & parts about
for a minute or two with cold water.- At first with a fourth part
of boiling water, keeping back daily an eight part of the boiling
water till he coes to use the water quite cold --
3. Every day ride on Horseback, avoiding the heat of the sun
& cool of the Evening- at first walking - but after some days
trotting a little & by degrees lengthen his rides
4. Diet almost entirely milk. No amimal food except it may be a
little broth and bread at Dinner time- and sometimes some roots greens &c
moderately - Ordinary drink plain water & at no time any stronger drink
5. Much fresh air very proper, but his walking always very moderate &
never to heat or fatigue him. - 6. Go to bed soon & rise early.
7. To lay aside all internal Medicines.
