The Revd M. Elliot at Fowbery [by?] Belford
Shall be glad to be of service to MrsEl¬
liot, but wish you had engaged Mr Pringle
to write me an account of what Medicines employd
& with what success. Do not apprehend how you was
puzzled between the Cough & Diarrhœa for I should ima¬
gine that Opiates were well adapted to both. Besides these
there is nothing would so much relieve her as a blister be¬
tween Shoulders. Afraid asses milk might increase
her purging but if it does not should otherwise have no
objections. It will be difficult to relieve Mrs E - complaints
& [till?] the season is so far advanced as to allow her
to go abroad on Horseback she must continue to complain
more or less & in the mean time she can not be too careful
in guarding against Cold.
