For Mrs Laing Mr at the Bush
Take two drachms each of Gum guaiac and white sugar. Grind well together then add one ounce of mucilage of Gum arabic. Grind again and little by little add - six ounces of peppermint water. Label: Aperient solution - two table spoonfulls to be taken every night at bed time shaking it well before pouring out.
