To Mr Fullerton [Query?] Miss F.
[Matters?] bad but may not be of bad consequence - Bleeding was
proper {illeg} but pushing it farther must be left to Dr Halls discretion
spitting of [blood - ?] pain of the side frequency of Pulse & ↑siziness of blood↑ should determine
this - live low & avoid all bodily motion - Belly regular if not
not naturally so, she must use the medicine prescribed below - I wish
it may pove prove a radical cure, but without low living & even
some times Bleeding no medicine can have effect. For Miss H Fullerton
Take four ounces rose water, half an ounce syrup of dried rose, ounce three drachms Spiritus vitroli tenuis and mix. Label: Healing Mixture a table spoonfull in a little water two or three times a day
If this does does not prove sour on her stomach, it may be increased, but if it does
the quantity of water must be increased
[Page 2]
I cannot advise Miss F come here unless she was much stronger and
if she was stronger I should think Langton as good a place as Leith for her
She must carefully avoid cold and never go abroad but in mild weather &c
