The Consultation Letters of Dr William Cullen (1710-1790) at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
[ID:3322] From: Dr William Cullen (Professor Cullen) / To: Dr Thomas Egan / Regarding: Mr Chivers (Patient) / March? 1788? / (Outgoing)
Draft letter from Cullen on the case of Mr Chivers in Galway (see 3321, which dates this in late March or very early April 1788). Written on the reverse of scraps of used paper. Cullen is in a hurry because he is 'fairly in the press' with his Treatise on the Materia Medica. One scrap is a note concerning proof sheets signed 'R.C.'. It seems likely this relates to preparing Cullen's Materia Medica for the press but no firm evidence for this.
