Dear Sir,

I was with Mr. Worge this morning
who consulted you when at Edinburgh lately, last
Night he was seized with a Cholera Morbus which
has been very {illeg} upon him, but this Evening
is better -- Since he was with you, he has
[seon?] been {illeg} pretty free from the complaint in
his Stomach & altho' he has regularly took
the Medicines you directed him, till last
Night, was much the Same --- He begs me
to acquaint you that if you think necessary
to make any alteration you will write me --

He is perfectly free from Fever, his Appetite

[Page 2]

is very good, but his Bowels have a tendency
to Costiveness --- his Urine is very good
--- from what I can judge I shou'd suppose
Bile is greatly the Cause of his uneasiness --
-- 2 Years ago he had on each ↑great↑ Toe a violent
Inflamation & growing pain, which I then
call'd Gouty -- possibly it may at present
be with Habit ---- He says his pain
has been exactly the same as when with
[you?], but not so violent ---- hoping to
hear from you with what directions you
may please to give I am Dear Sir

with any great respect
{illeg} humble Servant
