My dear Doctor

Jane has had no pain in her sides
since you saw her, until this Evening -
Her Cough decreased almost wholly
until this Afternoon - Her Breath¬
lessness
was less, but (↑and↑) came after
motion only - but this Evening it
came on more frequent, at periods,
without Motion. This Morning
she spit scarce any blood, & not so
much Mucus- I am hopeful it is
all from the mouth & throat-
I examined her mouth as well as
I could - and think it cannott be
from the Lungs - Her breast was
very uneasy yesterday - it was the
first time she used the Camphorated Oyl -
She used it again today - but it
is not uneasy today - She has
been at times very hot in her hands
and somewhat so in her body- at some
times she had been very temperate -
This day we walked gently & without
fatigue, or being heated - however she
perhaps is the worse of the Heat of
the weather & being exposed to it.

I shall be in town on Fryday
And then give you fuller accounts -
