Since last report of Mr. Bethunes
Complaints the means prescrib'd have been em¬
ploy'd and as yet without much effect, after
taking the Tincture however he got the Rhubarb
omitted ten days a similar effect happened after
first taking the white Mustard, Four Leeches
were applied to every Temple and Blooded freely
but he still complains of his Head & Eyes much
as formerly. His own expression is that He does
not think it so much of Vertigo as a defect of
his Eye sight that makes him walk indistinctly
In this cold weather we find some difficulty to
make the Issue discharge freely. On the whole
Mr. Bethune desires me to inform Dr. Cullen that
he feels very much as formerly but anxiously
waits Dr. Cullens further good advice I always am
