Information for Doctor Cullen


the manner in which Dugald Malcolm Ruthven through the [worst?]
winter which the Doctor is to aprove or Reject in whole or part [the?]
cream of the best and fresh with potatoes or Bread Tea soups and barly
broth, vegetables Calf Jelly black white and Red Jellys Goosberry &
apl [gamm?] Apl Marmalate puddings tarts and such simples plenty
of honey with bread or bread and butter very little animall food if any
plain boild –––– his Exercise Riding walking fishing on watters
sinse spring – playing on the Germine flute and fyeff, is not this
hurtful to the lungs, –––– he Complained a little of his breast before
he went to Jamaica often Red spots stricking out such as now
appear ––– there is and was then a Defect in his pallate to which the
Doctor will pay attention there is also a stopage in his Nose
and if it do not precid from a polipus it must with the Defect in the
throat procid another Cause that probablee if attended to in time may be
cured when yow get from the Doctor a Regimen and pointed Instruct¬
tions for his futture Conduct and Exercise leat him have the originall
and me a Coppy and the Doctor will be pleased to leat me have his
oppinnion of him [one he feel?] freely I am afraid my son Rid too hard
if the Doctor think this wrong he will give strict Injunctions to the
Contrary as I beg he will do in all Cases
