Dear Sir

I send you inclosed my advice for Mr
Lowndes, which I hope shall be of service to him. I have pro¬
posed to continue the unction every second night for five or six
nights (↑times↑) which will take up about a fortnight but as some
people are much more easily touched than others you must take
care that if there is the least tendency to go to the mouth you must
stop the course and upon the contrary if there is no tendency to
the mouth the course any be continued for a week or two longer.

The draught is intended to keep the belly regular and
if it does not do that you may increase the dose of Salts but
all purging is unnecessary and if the draught gives a loose
stool
you must diminish the Salts. It will be a good effect
if the draught goes by urine.

I proposed to have inclosed ↑also↑ my advice for Mr Wilson
but find I cannot finish it before tomorrow.

My compliments
to both Gentlemen and am with great regard
