A Great Rigidity of the Muscles of his
Shoulders
, Neck, & Arms, attended with great
pains particularly through the Night
he has been thrice blooded, the parts Leech'd
a large blister Apply to the Neck. ––––


He has been Bathed up to the chin fre¬
quently, & taken a Quantity of Tinct: Gum
Guaic: Vol:
& the Application of the warm
plasters to the parts
, ––––


He is now taking Sal: Nitri: sperm: Cæti
@ gr: xv bis in die. 1 & all to little purpose
he sweats much ––––


I have try'd Goulard's Vegito Minerall
Water
& his Saturnine plaster, but find
it does not give way to any of the
methods try'd ––––


He Complains of a Numbness of his right
leg
& a Coldness of the Knee & Sole of the
foot
, when he goes went out into the Cold
air the rigidity increas'd, & contracted his
head
down to his breast.
