to you by Mr Fullarton who set out with
Miss Fullarton for Scotland to Day.
Their stay here has been 3 Weeks. you
know the History of Miss Case better than
any of us. She was sometimes under Sir
Jno. Pringle's Care. you will see by his PresĀ¬
criptions what he had in View. & {illeg}
coming down . directed her not to drin[ck] {illeg}
Waters - till the Catamenia returned. {illeg}
lily agreed with S.ir. J.no in Opinion & accor[d]{illeg}
she has not drank any of the Water. but {illeg}

that desirable Point has not been attained
how far the Journey may be of service It
is ha[r]d to say. during Her stay she has been
pretty much in one Way. Cough continues
chill all the Forenoon & pretty hot after
Dinner & continued so till . the Evening th{illeg}
Sweats profuse from 5 in the Morning, till 11
[cf.?] or till she gets out of Bed. There has
{illeg} Haemoptoe. nor threatning of it indeed,
{illeg} Arrival here. however I thought it
{illeg}[e?]ns for her to loose some Blood before she
{illeg}nt on her Journey - sometimes it forwards

serum no inflammatory appearance [and?] her
pulse is generally quick -- I wish I could
have given you a better Account of your Patient.
I have directed Mr Fullarton to give a saline
Draught or 2 in the Afternoon when she is
under [t]he fever {illeg} Paroxysm & to att{illeg} to
the [s?]{illeg} of her Bowels upon the Journey. [A?] {illeg}
stop a Day . if at any Time she is costive & {illeg}
requires some gentle Laxative . - as the {illeg}
is so uncertain & the Season so far advan[ced?]
indeed, I could by no means urge Mr Fu[llarton]
stay longer here having so long a J{illeg}
before his Hand I wish you a happy {illeg}
ting with your Patient. Compliments to all your Famil[y]
