Since I made out MrKennedys Case
I am sorry to acquaint you there is an Alteration of
it to the worse. On the night betwixt thursday & friday
last he had several violent Fits attended (so far as
I could learn) with all the symtoms of Epilepsy –
For some time past the Seton has been out of his
Neck, & he being unwilling to have it put in again
This I suppose has contributed to aggravate his
Disease –– This day I have prevailed with him to
let the Seton be replaced –– There is one particu¬
lar which (it would be proper to mention to the
Physicians –– ↑That↑ previous to his ever having had these
Fits – there had been a runing sore (from what cause
or of what kind I can not say) upon or near the crown
of his Head – the scar of it still remains – and the Fits
acceded to the drying up of this Sore –– I thought
[Page 2]
proper to give you this Notice because I imagine (as
a consultation [with?] Physicians is intended) the sooner it were
done the better –– I am
