Body parts tagged in documents

Find documents that have been tagged.

This category includes parts of the body as mentioned in the letters. Most are self-explanatory. Only historically specific or more obscure anatomical references have been glossed (the latter are more usually being deployed by practitioners). It includes bodily fluids such as blood and urine when mentioned in relation to a symptom or condition (disease). There are necessarily a few abstract terms, notably the historically specific term 'Sensorium' used to describe the seat of sensation in the brain, which is roughly equivalent to what we might now commonly term 'the mind'. Bodyparts have been assigned to basic sub-categories such as 'Head and Neck', 'Internal Organs...', etc.
