Pages 13 and 14 of what must have been a substantial case-history of which the rest is missing. The vocabulary suggests it was composed by a professional physician and it may have been sent to Cullen as part of an extended case-history. However the handwriting has not been traced (though possibly that of John Hope, who attended Hopetoun). The dateline gives the address as 'H.H.', which may be Hopetoun House. The layout and unusual size of the paper matches that of a later letter by John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun.24 January 1756
