A younger sister of Frederick the Great of Prussia. She married against his wishes, and he had the marriage annulled, forcing her into the Lutheran Convent at Quedlinburg, where she became abbess. A talented musician, she was a composer, mainly of chamber works, and collector of musical scores. |
