For Mr Michael Stewart


To continue the Solution below - it requires no confinement
nor change of Diet, but abstinence from all salted meat &
fish - Drink water or small Beer - A single Glass of Wine or
Punch at Dinner and no more - No animal food at Supper, &
should take constantly some milk meat -


At all times carefully guard against cold.


After he has used this medicine for eight days he should
take a Warm Bath - To be moderately warm - stay in it
a quarter of an hour - To be taken about↑ between six & ↑seven in the Evening
& to keep his chamber for the rest of the Evening and take more
than common care against cold next day. - This Bath should
be repeated once a week while he takes the medicine.

Take 2 ounces of Soluble Tartar, half an ounce each of Sal Maratime, Spanish Polychest, and refined sugar; 2 ounces of simple cinnamon water and 6 ounces of spring water. Dissolve and strain. Label: Aperient Solution a table spoonfull to be taken in a draught of new drawn cow milk whey every morning --
