about Miss Mary Hamilton.

Pain of her side continuing so long I do not like. Dont meddle with
her diet for I understand how the animal food sourness of stomach
I dont much of the safety of -dose of Dovers powder for her. If her
complaints were external & rheumatiic [use not?], but of this not
so certain as to risk. In case of pain troublesome, blister,
but I hope no occasion for it just now ; & at this season
may indulge her in a plunge in the river, but with caution.
