Dear Sir

I am favoured with yours of this
29th past. I agree with you that there is something part¬
icular in this case and that it may be such as I have known
before, a discharge from the vagina only. I think there can be
no harm in pushing the supposition and treating the case by
astringents but I trust little to internals and therefore if
you can reconcile your patient to an injection
you may
try the Sugar of Lead in Rose water at first a grain
to the ounce to be increased afterwards according to its effects
Wishing you heartily success I am Dear Sanders

yours sincerely––
