Mr Knott Concerning Mrs Knott
Tho the Stomach should not be much affected whenever the
headach & gidenness come on (↑are considerable↑) I would have Mrs K. try the Elixir &
take more or less or pftener as she finds the effects of it. You tell
me that her complaints about the time that she should have been unwell
but I wish you had told me ↑whether↑ she became unwell or not. If she did
not I shall think it a mark of her being with child & that I hope will
put an end to all her complaints. I wish you had told me also
[Page 2]
whether Mrs K. got the Pills either of one kind or other mentioned in my last
--If she has occasion for them they should certainly be employed. Tho she
should think herself with Child, she will be the better of gentle exercise
at least in the Carriage & fresh air is good for everything.
I am sorry Miss Ford still feels the pain in her side but I impute
both that & her head achs very much to the weather & want of exercise.
The headach is distressing but I dont suppose it to have any
conection with the breast which is in the part I especially wish to take care of &
therefore don't prescribe any thing for the headach as I hope better
weather will cure it.
