The Electuary intended merely to prevent Costiveness – Must be continued – take the bigness of a bean
& only every 3d day. –– To strengthen you only the Recipe below –– –– Continue your washing – except upon
the days you take the Physic for I suspect it has made it work more than necessary – However obstinate
your Complaints I dont think Mercury would be of any service to them. Continue your Regimen
I formerly advised ––

Take 7 ounces of Rosewater, 10 drachms of simple Cinnamon Water, an ounce each of Vinegar Distillate and Clove Syrup, and 2 drachms of Salts of Nitre. Mix. Label: Cooling & Strengthening Mixture two table Spoonfulls at bedtime & if it agrees well with his stomach he may a Table Spoonfull in the forenoon ––
