For Miss Corney

A considerable late shock given to Nerves
originally delicate &c. occasions her present complaints
Difficult to restore such Nerves, but means may
be attempted. The remedy I would chiefly depend
on is Cold Bathing, by a Shower Bath. The
Advantages of a Shower Bath are --
At first six English Gallons of cold water
& two Gallons Boiling Water. & this for a week

Let her take the Tincture below for two or three
weeks, then intermit it as long then take it so long
again & this during the Winter & Spring

Frequent gentle Exercise in a carriage in Winter,
but on horseback in spring & summer. carefully
gaurding against cold.

Middle Diet, Light Animal food at Dinner
filling up with pudding & Vegetables. avoiding those
proving Windy- no meat at Supper.

Drink Port & Water. & after Dinner a (↑one↑) glass
of Port very proper.

Take one ounce of each of Tincture of Mars and aromatics. Mix. Label: Strengthening Drops. 20 or 30 drops in a small glass of Water two or three times a day.
