Mr Lambert Concerning Miss Simpson

Upon receiving yours of the 14th I immediately
ordered a parcel of the Cicuta to be sent you, but I did
not think it necessary to say anything about
Miss Simpson as the medicines have not been tried
long enough. -- By yours of the 29th I find that altho
the medicines I proposed have been very faithfully em¬
ployed there is no change in her ailments. ----

I would not push the Mercury any further, but
I would the Cicuta, as I never saw any bad effects
from its long continuance, & it is very long {illeg}
sometimes of Showing its effects. As she is to
give up the Mercury, she may be allowed to go
abroad & she should pretty constantly take
gentle exercise ---- In this way I would rest
matters till the turn of the Season ----
