For Mrs


Keeping the neck warm with flannel
Discutient Spirit to be applied on each side of the Wind pipe

Take four ounces of Rectified Alcohol, one ounce of compounded Spirit of lavender and two drachms of Camphor. Mix and Label: Discutient Spirit.

Take one drachm of prepared Filed steel, a half-ounce of powdered Jamaican Pepper, one ounce of Conserve of rose and a sufficient quantity of orange rind and Simple syrup to make a soft Electuary. Label: Nervous Electuary the size of a Filburt. To be taken every night and morning.
