For Mr Munro.


Dont doubt of his recovery ---- The best measure is
to Go to sea - The now proposed Expedition will not be Easy
but enough to shew how he bear it & its effects. If these be
good he should contrive to take a longer voyage. In the
summer season he need not be anxious a bout it, because the

Summer, country, riding, p& proper diet may remove all his
complaints; but if not, he should take a voyage as soon as he
can, & even altho he should get pretty well, should take one
of some length before next winter.


Everywhere, guard against Cold. therefore always be
well cloathed, & continue his flannel shirt.


No animal food, must therefore provide fruit &
grain &ce. & this provision will be proper also in
the North Country. but there he will get milk & may
take as much as he can digest - Sparing however of
roots greens & garden things.


No fermented or spirituous liquor --- drink only
water whey or gruel --- The cooler his meat,
& drinks be, the better. When in the North
he should get on horseback, but come to a tole¬
rably brisk degree of exercise by degrees.
must avoid fatigue. walk seldom.-- moderately
& never uphill


Take the Acid Mixture along with him he has been in
use of -& continue it for 2 or 3 weeks to come.


Take along with him Cream of Tartar that he
may take a teaspoonful or 2 of it with syrup in the
morning in case of Costiveness. Or the powder
here

X Take Crystal tartar-- two ounces of Flowers of sulpher and one drachm of Ground Jamaican pepper. Mix to make a powder. Label: Laxative powder. a teaspoonful or 2 with a little syrup in the morning.
