For Mr Y.Z.


Difficult to restore the natural Vigour of the parts.
The Best remedy – Cold bathing – to be first applied to the
Genitals – @ two parts cold & 1 part boiling water every
morning withdrawing an eight part of the boiling water
every day &c. after using the plain cold water for some days
he may bathe his whole body in the Sea a River or elsewhere
[use?] a Suspensory always ––– He may use the Drops
order'd below to prevent pain & restore the Vigour ––
Fresh air & gentle Exercise very often –– Diet very moderate
moderate. No Suppers for they increase the Noctural
Emissions. Very Little Strong drink – Avoid costiveness which such
Patients are liable to ––

Take two ounces of Tincture of Mars according the the Edinburgh Pharmacopoeia. Let him take twenty-five in a cup of water [ at the same time, an hour before lunch, and at the same time before dinner.?]
