For Mr David Areskine


Let him take two spoonfulls of Strengthening ticture
two or three times every day & in each dose let him take ten
of his Stomachic Drops.


When ↑the↑ Purging is more than ordinarily frequent let him
take some doses of the Mixture formerly given him by Mr
Mcglashan.


When the appetite at any time falls of or the Stomach
seems loaded it may be proper to take a gentle vomit.


Mr Areskine in diet may take a bit of any plain meat
but must abstain from Salt meats, much fish & all sorts of Scotch
Broth with roots and greens in them & he must take little or these
in any other Shape.


He should take no kind of Malt Liquor & little Wine a little
Spirits & water without Lemon will be the safest for him but great
moderation in Strong drink is absolutely necessary

Take two drachms each of crushed Peruvian Bark and Pomegranate Bark; Pomegrante Flowers; Pour in two ounces of French Brandy and twelve ounces of nearly boiling water; stand overnight and strain. Label: Strengthening Tincture.

Take an ounces of Elixir of Viriol acid; Label: Stomachic Drops
