[Page 1]
Mr Herriot Concerning Mr Munro Minister of Kinloss.

Accounts favourable - & must be owing to your
judgement &c. -

His belly must be kept regular but I wish you could get
a milder one than the Pilul. Coco. to answer. Try the
Castor Oil – if it does not answer, try.

Take 45 grains of the composite powder of the same, 3 drachms of Tartar Crystals, and enough Simple Syrup to make a mixture, Electuary or Linctus, to be taken in the morning by teaspoonfulls every quarter of an hour. – More and with the same proportions if necessary, & use always diluent tincture – or try ----

Take a drachm of Socotrine Aloes, and a scruple each of Gamboge and Calomel. Rib together thoroughly and with enough Simple Syrup, make a mass to divide into pills of 5 grains each. Two of these Pills taken at bed time will probably answer --

Continue the Issue in his head & the frictions of his arm
& leg; but only in the morning - Exercise very proper &
till the weather grows milder, use the Spring deal --
I think the Electricity might be safely applied to the
arm & leg alone – very proper to allow Mr Munro
some animal food & a few glasses of wine & either
a little porter or a malt liquor ----
