Countess of Errol about Lady Charlotte Hay.

Her headachs proceed from costiveness. Common for medicines
after repetition to lose their effects, especially the one I
advised. A recipe below will answer better, use it as
the former. It is still a saline purgative which in Lady Charlotte's case
I would prefer, but if not succeed, try the Castor oil &
if the stomach bear it I will answer for the good effects.

For L. Ch. Hay.

Take 1½ ounces of Glauber's Salts, 2 drachms of Spanish Sea Salt, half an ounce of Polychrest Salts, 1½ ounces of simple Cinnamon water and 5 ounces of spring water. Dissolve and strain. Label: Laxative Solution a tablespoonful or two in the morning mixed with half a muchkin of spring water.
