Dear Sir.

Since the receipt of your of the 8th. of April.
we have repeatedly tried Electricity agreeable to your directions
upon your Patient Mr. Fleming without any Apparent Benefit
At times the food he takes gets a tolerable free passage into
his Stomach. but when so it is most Commonly rejected
in a few Minutes. and always with pain more or less.

he has now Some Injections when long Costive. and he Varies
his little Nourishment. as the same Article does not relish
or Agree with him two days following. A Volatile Anodyne
Liniment is
rubb'd upon his Stomach and a palatable
Cordial with a few guttæ of Laudanum. has been Occasionally
given him, he daily looses Strenght & Vivacity and our
hopes are no ways Sanguine. but as he hinted. that we
might let you know his Situation, I very readily trouble
you with this as taking part of the Burthen off us
and doing a Humane Office in Supporting the
drooping Spirits. Mr. Wallace joins me in respectful
Compliments.

And I am Dr. Sir
Your Obedient Humble Servant
