Dear Sir

I had the Pleasure of yours a two
Days ago & Miss Kerr till the other day
has been pretty free of Complaints in
particularly her Colic ones, but they came
on with Violence last Night & she took
the Anodyne Draught & two Doses of
the Anodyne Mixture with no effect. I saw
her this morning in great Distress & gave
Laudanum at proper Intervales to the
amount of 200 drops with a fœtid Glyster with 3 drachms
of Liquid Laudanum She had a stool by the Glyster
& is now rather easier, but has got no
sleep
but finds her head a little
confused.

[Page 2]

She has had two stools Every day either by
Clysters
or the Pills. –– She could
not take the Musk the smell of it
touched
Her Stomach & I durst not
give it. –– I am to try Pills of opium
& a Plaster of the lees of Opium or Treacle

with the former Blister, that she cannot
bear another for some Tyme. –– If she
could be putt among warm water when the
Pains are Violent, would ye approve
of its being tryd? Fomentations have
been tryed
. – I beg to hear from you
at your Conveniency & am with great Esteem
